Date Night | Biànca, Brisbane
One of my recent favourites, recreated in outfits, recipes and homewares.
One of the best nights out I’ve had for a while was at Biànca.
If Brisbane’s restaurant scene wasn’t absolutely killing it right now, I’d just go back here every week. A guaranteed good time.

Nestled in the chic James Street precinct, Biànca is part of the Anyday Group, a hospitality partnership that just took out Restaurant of the Year for Agnes. Designed by Richards & Spence – known for The Calile Hotel, Hellenika and the Cornerstone Stores in Tugun – it was always going to be stunning. The design nods to both ancient and contemporary Italy, with terracotta and marble alongside polished metals and beautiful stemware.

But what surprised us was the incredible quality from a restaurant who honestly could probably just coast along on being so Instagrammable. The service was impeccable (formal without being stuffy), the banquet menu was perfectly timed and presented, and the wine list extensive and thoughtful. It was also good value. Honestly, it’s almost too good to be true.
We’ll undoubtedly be back, whether for a long, lazy Sunday lunch or for a romantic date night dinner. If you’re visiting from out of town, a night at the Calile upstairs would be an indulgent yet on-brand must.
Unfortunately, as much as I wish I could, I can’t actually eat at Biànca every night, so instead I’ve compiled a mood board with links to homewares, outfits and more for us to add more modern Italian trattoria to our lives.
