Life Curriculum ~ vol.10
Newly released books, the end of GladWrap and Juliette Binoche with Catherine Deneuve.
The world feels heavy right now, and so if it doesn’t feel right for you to read this, that’s OK. As always, this week’s curriculum newsletter is full of things to do, make, watch, listen to and read, and it is not trying to either pretend there’s not horrific things happening in the world but nor is it seeking to add commentary. Keep your loved ones close.
My apologies for being a day late with this week’s Curriculum!
Do
There are more and more ways to replace GladWrap in the kitchen, but try as I might, there’s a few applications where it’s still my go-to. I use beeswax wraps as much as possible, and pop things into containers where I can – but what about storing sourdough slices in the freezer? What about chilling biscuit dough?
I was therefore SO excited about Great Wrap ($), an Australian brand that’s developed a home compostable alternative that’s made from potato waste. Yes it’s more expensive than GladWrap. It should be! GladWrap is evil. The dispenser is made from recycled plastic bottles in cute colours, and I think everyone is getting one of these for Christmas. Let’s make this current roll the last GladWrap we ever buy!
