Hello! Welcome to this simple, lightly curated round-up of tabs I have sitting open, waiting for me to make a decision about. This article is for all subscribers, free and paid – yay!
A recipe I need to modify because I’m a wuss.
Have you seen the meme that says something like, “I don’t have TikTok. I just wait for a week for them to get reposted on Instagram like an adult.” It’s as if it was written about me.
Vannella Cheese posted a TikTok on their Instagram about this roti smothered with burrata, and I tracked down the recipe. It’s too much chilli for me because I’m a wuss, but it’s an open tab because I am determined to modify it. Warm, crispy, flaky roti! Cool, smooth burrata! Fricken genius.
Vannella also just collaborated on a candle ($) with Nonna’s Grocer, and yes, obviously, I want it:

A new coffee table book.
I listened to Dan Rubinstein’s interview with Deeda Blair on his podcast, The Grand Tourist, which is all about design, art, architecture, food, fashion, and travel.
I wasn’t until then familiar with Deeda Blair, who is a NYC style icon and philanthropist who travelled and live abroad with her ambassador husband in the ‘60s and ‘70s. She is also known for her extensive years of fundraising, including early AIDS research and now with CRISPR and through her Research Initiative for Disorders of the Brain.
This is a woman who has lived.
The podcast interview was part of her book launch. Full of menus, photos, scrapbooks, and flowers, it’s a book ($$) that is now pretty high on my list.
Sleeping on the clouds.
I’m being targeted by Meta for a new pillow, and this one ($$$) keeps popping up. I don’t know if I’m intrigued because or in spite of the fact that the pillows are cloud-shaped. I mean… none of my pillowcases would fit! Do I want to be beholden to this one company to supply my pure white silk pillowcases for the next two years?
And so it remains an open tab…
In case you missed it…
