Hello! Welcome to this simple, lightly curated round-up of tabs I have sitting open. This article is for all subscribers, free and paid – yay!
If you enjoy this freebie, would you consider being a paid subscriber to receive a couple of articles from me each week? Each Sunday I send Life Curriculum, a curated version of Open Tabs with suggestions for reading, watching, listening, making and doing. You can get a trial for 7 days to try before you buy.
A documentary on Kickstarter.
I’d sort of forgotten about Kickstarter, to be honest, but I was sent an email last week about this documentary that’s now met its target (although more is always nice!).
It’s about three siblings who, due to the worsening of their father's health condition, must step into his footsteps as a renowned winemaker in Champagne overnight.
I would definitely watch this! Their funding will support the cost of multiple language translations. You can find out more here.
A homewares auction of your Francophile dreams.
Isabella Walker-Smith is back with another collection of homewares and antiques for Lawsons. From furniture to tableware to lighting, if you’re looking for a special piece, have a peek! It’s always hard to tell what bargains will be available until the very last minute but you have to be in it to “win” it!
A special gift for someone this year?
Champagne, antiques, and now oysters… I’m just leaning into the full accidentally boujie theme of this Open Tabs.
I’ve seen these oyster shell incense holders ($$) around, but only recently worked out they are by Corey Ashford, an Australian designer. The holders are actually cast from Sydney rock oysters.
A lovely keepsake gift for a loved one this Christmas?
In case you missed it…
In the second instalment of Wanderlist, I am mentally hanging out in the Majorca Martini Suite in Melbourne.
I spent hours thinking about what I consider my fridge essentials and then my home bar essentials in the Biased Guide Series.
I shared a moodboard and random list of links on the theme of discipline to kick off November.
Life Curriculum continues to come out each Sunday.
